Dec 22, 2011 · I’m installing Debian 6.0.3 as a server. At the end of the installation process the system reboots and I must login. I try to login as root. However the system does not except my password. I get message: Authentication failure. Login as normal user is ok. So, I did a new install and paid extra attention to my password. However the same result.

My main problem is that I cannot use sudo. My root account is locked using sudo passwd -dl root. I have two users on my machine. root and admin, admin does not have su permission.
